Today you are 11 months old. Only one more month until your very first birthday! It seems like time passes so much faster these days. Maybe it is because you keep me so busy....you empty the tupperware drawer, I put it all back. Or maybe it is because we are traveling and visiting family all the time. Whatever the reason, I wish I could just bottle up this time with you and save it for later. Someday, when you are a big girl getting ready for your first day of school, or when you are so independent you don't "need" your Mommy anymore, I would open it up and treasure the time with my little monkey.
You now weigh in at approximately 22.5lbs and are 29.5 inches long. And constantly into everything......

This month you got to meet your Aunt Karen! She flew out all the the way from Connecticut to come see you. She spent a long weekend at our house, where we did all the wonderful California things. Wine tasting, bonfire on the beach, Aquarium. It was a blast!
This month we took a trip to SF for GGma's birthday. We spent three days and nights enjoying the city and doing all the fun touristy activities (more on this trip in the next post).

And during that trip you accomplished something really special......
You took your first steps!! While we were sitting in the hotel room just hanging out, we helped you stand up, then you took two steps forward and promptly sat down and clapped your hands. I know you will be walking by your first birthday. You just need a little more time to get steady on your feet. Build up that confidence. You are really great at walking while holding onto something, and have started standing unsupported for at least 30 seconds. And since you are so close to walking, I bought you the cutest little shoes at Target.....
You have huge feet and have outgrown all the shoes we were gifted before you were born....you are in a size 5 already!
Just this week we started taking swim classes at the local sports center. You love bath time and water, so we thought you would love a dedicated 30 minutes in the pool twice a week. We were right. You love it. We sing songs, splash around and play with rubber duckies, what's not to love? Well actually you aren't too fond of getting water in your face or floating on your back, so this class will hopefully get you more comfortable with both. Plus, Daddy is really hoping you will follow in his footsteps and become a champion swimmer!

You also got another tooth this month! That makes a total of 5! You weren't fussy or bothered by it at all. The only reason I thought you might be getting a tooth is because your pee smelled terrible. Apparently that is a sign of teething....who knew?!
You are quite the talker these days. Chatter Babble Babble SCREAM! It is hilarious. No more peaceful afternoons around this house.

Your wonderful personality is revealed a little more every day. You are a curious, smart and very happy little girl. You are definitely a Mamas girl, at least for now. But seeing you get excited and giggly when Daddy comes home is the best. And your scream, reserved specifically for Harley, is adorable. And you sure do love music! Anytime we play music in the house, which is often, your whole body starts to wiggle and you get the biggest smile on your face.
Here you are doing some standing and dancing to Bruno Mars :)

We wouldn't trade you for the world. We love you so much baby girl!
