Happy 10 Months Norah

Miss Norah,

Happy 10 Months my love!

Your first year is flying by. I just can't believe how quickly you are growing and changing. You now weigh in at 18lbs and are 28 inches long, hoovering around the 30-40 percentile. A growing peanut! You are the happiest, most smiley baby ever. And so beautiful. People are always telling me how adorable you are. I could not agree more, I am one lucky Mama!!

our two beautiful girls

You had a couple fun milestones this month.....

You are now a standing girl (with a little assistance)! Last month at this time you had just started crawling. You were beyond thrilled about finally being able to move around, but hadn't quite gotten fast yet. Now you are crawling all over the place, as fast as your little legs can carry you. You are also pulling yourself up onto anything and everything and even cruising furniture now. Ah!! Stop growing!!

look at those chunky legs!! LOVE!!

It was much harder to get pictures of you this month because you were distracted by the grass, a leaf, the sky, etc. Or you were busying trying to escape!

Needless to say the time has come to put up some baby gates. I was not looking forward to that at all, but it is now our reality for the next year or more. Can't have any babies falling down the stairs. While Matt and I are inconvenienced by the gates, Harley is really annoyed and Charlotte is LIVID!! Neither likes to be locked out of a room. Our older gate is easier to lift so Charlotte is able to get in and out of that one, but the new one has definitely been upgraded and is currently impossible for her to get through. She just doesn't have the strength. This frustrates her to no end!! I am just hoping and praying she doesn't shake the heck out of it and cause it to fall down.

the day you found the stairs!

You also got a new tooth this month....the top one!! I was really enjoying that two tooth smile, and now it looks like they will have company. The other top tooth is less than a week from coming in too. Next month your smile will be totally different than it is today!
can you see my toofer??!!

I love watching you discover the world and everything around you. One minute you are in the living room playing with your table, the next in the playroom pulling out baskets and playing with every toy you can. You and Charlotte are even starting to play together a bit, which is the most precious thing ever!

playtime with big sister

Your all time favorite thing to do is follow Harley around and pat your hands on his back while chatting away. He doesn't "love" it, but tolerates it very well. He is a great big brother!

I posted this video on Facebook, so some of you may have seen it, but it was definitely worth another share. I can't get enough of it!!

and we can't forget the favorite, Harley's water bowl.
Charlotte on the left and Norah on the right (both at 10 months). Hours of entertainment here, no need for toys!

You just love music! You dance and sing and love playing with instruments. I don't know if all babies enjoy a good beat, but both you and your sister sure do. I wonder if you will always be musical, if it's in your genes, or just the free spirit of a child. Either way, it means dance parties and performances and a whole lot of fun!

You also love the outdoors. Today you were upstairs with me, helping me with laundry, and we just stood looking out the window together. We talked about everything we saw and you happily tapped your hands on the window and smiled. You are so curious about everything and I love it. Most of the time. It can sometimes be a hazard when your older sister leaves random objects within reach, or perhaps a good pile of lint is discovered and shoved into your mouth. Oh and lets not forget about the bathroom trash can! Anything and everything within reach is fair game for a crawling baby!

well this sure has a funny taste.....
definitely a leaf. not so tasty after all
the air vent is a BIG favorite. Caught ya big girl!

This month you and Charlotte took a bath together for the very first time!! You both LOVED it!! And so did Mommy, talk about a time saver!
